In The Financial Times, Southon wrote, “Above all, the book shows how an entrepreneur can emerge from the other side of success with their sanity intact, and remaining friends with the people they have worked with along the way.”

Coaching skills, or the lack of them, play a big part in the likelihood of a business’s success, Southon believes. “The biggest factors in business failure are not adverse market conditions or competition, they are lack of self-awareness on the part of entrepreneurs and their inability to recruit and keep a quality team. Coaching skills enable entrepreneurs to understand their weaknesses, build a complementary team of people, and let them get on without undue interference.”
