Description

At NLP School, we’ve always championed supervision as an essential part of coach development whatever your level of experience. Whether you solely practice as a coach or use coaching within your profession, some issues just can’t be shared with others or resolved in isolation.

We’re now delighted to offer group Coach Supervision sessions for coaches who want to strengthen, deepen, and sustain their practice.

Course Overview

What is Coach Supervision?

Coach supervision gives you space to reflect on your coaching, develop your skills, and support your wellbeing as a practitioner. Through confidential, collaborative conversations, supervision helps you grow your awareness, expand your perspectives, and strengthen your confidence as a coach.

Whether you’re newly qualified or highly experienced, supervision helps you navigate the realities of coaching with greater clarity, presence, and intention.

 You might bring:

  • Complex client dynamics
  • Difficult or emotionally charged sessions
  • Ethical questions or uncertainties
  • Challenges around confidence, self-doubt or overwhelm
  • A desire for deeper insight
  • Emotional responses and triggers
  • Patterns, blind spots, and recurring dynamics
  • Coach presence
  • Professional growth and development

Together, in an engaging, friendly environment we’ll collectively step back and explore what’s happening within the coaching relationship, considering the systems within systems that may be at play and uncover what may sit beneath the surface, examining how your own assumptions, language, emotional responses, or experiences may be shaping your work.

One of the unique benefits of group supervision is the collective experience and wisdom within the room. Every coach brings their own background, coaching style, client experiences, and perspectives creating a rich learning environment for everyone involved.

As coaches reflect together, share observations, and explore different ways of understanding a situation, the group can generate insights, ideas, and possibilities that may not emerge in any other setting. Even when the topic isn’t your own, you’ll often recognise similar dynamics in your own practice and leave with valuable learnings, reassurances, and fresh perspectives.

Together we will explore and discuss NLP patterns, communication dynamics, and the assumptions or beliefs influencing the coaching process. We will identify and examine blind spots, emotional responses and alternative perspectives, which we will use to navigate any challenges by deepening awareness, providing insight and choice - allowing you to work with a more grounded presence, giving you more flexibility and confidence.

Helping other people through coaching can be incredibly rewarding, and at times it can feel isolated. When you spend so much time holding space for others, it’s important to have a space where you can pause, reflect, and be supported too.

How Does Group Coaching Supervision Work?

Each supervision session runs for up to two hours and with a maximum of six coaches.

During the session:

  • Coaches introduce the topic they want to explore
  • The supervisor asks clarifying questions
  • The group reflects together
  • Coaches receive insights, perspectives, and practical suggestions

As well as exploring your own challenges, you’ll learn from the experiences other coaches bring. Often, the themes raised in supervision reflect situations you’ve already encountered, or will encounter in future practice.

While regular attendance is ideal, we realise this isn’t always possible so you can attend as many or few sessions as you need to.

Supervision of course counts as CPD and if you are accredited or working towards accreditation, certificates for CPD and supervision hours can be issued.

The cost is £50 + VAT per session on a pay as you go basis.
