NLP School had a busy time at the HR exhibition and conference in London last week, and it was nice to see a few past students, too. There was lots interest in the Language and Behaviour Profile course (based on NLP meta-programmes) with Shelle Rose Charvet, which is coming up in May.
In an interview with the Training Journal Shelle summed it up as, “Helping people figure out why other people do what they do, so you can influence them to do what you want them to do.” Ethically, of course. “This has to be based upon true and deep respect for the other person. You have to have their interests at heart, as well as your own. They have to understand what’s in it for them. Manipulation may work in the short term, but it’s corrosive and self-defeating in the long term.”
