Preparing to teach NLP Master Practitioner in Malaysia this week, I have been practicing some of the processes on myself. One I have not used for a while is Robert Dilts’ ‘Holding difficult feelings pattern’.  This uses Virginia Satir’s question, “How do you feel about feeling that way?” – for example, feeling disappointed in yourself for feeling angry.

Once you gain these sorts of insights, you are then in a much more resourceful state to use NLP processes to feel better. Sometimes you surprise yourself by realising the genesis of these feelings dates from early childhood.
